All power is out the the Charlottesville Edgemont Rd. building. Backup power has been exhausted and all services are offline at this time, including Exchange email for all users.

Due to heavy snow and poor road conditions the CV locations and GB site will operate under Emergency Operation Status for Wednesday March 6th 2013. Updates will be issued no later than 7am Thursday March 7th.
The Charlottesville e-mail server is experiencing issues with its local disks after a crash earlier today. We are in the process of moving the e-mail services to new hardware. At this time, most users should have normal email access again.
The storage system that holds email for NRAO users was not affected and there was minimal loss of email; some messages that were being processed at the time of the crash, however, may have been lost.
UDPATE: The mail service has been configured on permanent replacement hardware and has been stable for a week now.
Recent outage events
